The beginning of each new Rotary year is exciting!  As we lived the theme "Rotary Opens Opportunities"  from July 1st 2020 through June 30th 2021, we now, "Serve to Change Lives!" We have an awesome guest speaker to start the new year,  Project Director Kelley Potter of the Hope Chauauqua Coalition!
Kelley Potter's Credentials:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Eastern Connecticut State University
  • Family Development Credentials from Cornell University
  • Practice Facilitator Certification from the University of Buffalo

Kelley has worked in the community with youth and families for over 30 years in Public Health and Wellness finally finding her professional passion in Substance Use Prevention. She is currently working as the HOPE Chautauqua Project Director/Coalition Coordinator, managing the Drug-Free Communities Grant and the State Opioid Response Grant as well as serving on the Board of Directors for the non-for-profit Faith Based organization, Breathe Life of WNY Inc., and the new Summer Camp Pilot for Youth with Developmental Disabilities and their Siblings.

This energetic and professional lady continues to successfully collaborate with partners and multiple organizations on Environmental Strategies to reduce the access and availability of Alcohol, Marijuana, Opioids and other harmful drugs in homes and the community to individuals under 21 and to those most at risk. As a result of collaborative efforts with partners Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care (CHPC) created and implemented a policy that provides education, and resources to patients and their families on Safe Use, Safe Storage and Safe Disposal of Rx drugs to reduce the availability of prescription pain medications in the homes and communities of Chautauqua County.

Welcome, Kelly!  Thank you for being our first guest speaker in this new Rotary year!
