Accounted, budgeted, and allocated government funds totally in the tens of millions for 1st Marine Special Operations Battalion.  Transferred funds to designated sections for projects and training while ensuring over-spending and useless purchases were not authorized. Certified government credit card holder that provided excellent oversight over all of the battalions funds in both 1st Marine Special Operations Battalion and 1st Battalion 1st Marines.

Received, stored, and issued maintenance inventory and supplies for the logistics section valued at more than $50 million. Labeled stock items using identification tags, stamps, and electric marking tools. Organized and stored items in an accessible manner and identified proper warehouse storage methods based on turnover and environmental factors. Utilized automated computer inventory system to input inventory, initiate distribution actions, perform transactions, and maintain hand receipts.

Maintained accountability for all serialized weapons and tactical gear. Examined and inspected items for defects and coordinated repair and replacement of items. Developed and disseminated monthly inventory accountability reports that accounted for the battalions entire asset inventory valued at more than $100 million.

 

Leadership

 

    -    Directly managed groups of up to 5-100 personnel with full responsibility for work assignments, scheduling, performance management, training, and disciplinary actions. Organized daily operations and established priorities and deadlines. Ensured adequate manpower coverage and supplies available to perform tasks. Conducted training on safety practices and promoted a safe and work environment. Set and enforced high standards of personal and professional conduct. 

 

    -    Established internal controls to ensure adequate level of supplies through performing audits and inspections. Adjusted stock levels utilizing a standard formula to promote efficient supply utilization. Utilized Government Credit Purchase Card to procure items and implemented rigorous oversight of supply requisitions to reduce wasteful spending.

 

    -    Directly supervised and managed a group of over 100 Marines during time at Infantry Training Battalion.

 

    -    Served over-seas as the Sergeant of the Guard (Head of Security) in Jordan keeping the safety, security, and protection of field operating base.  Ensured all personnel were alert and guarded respective positions while providing leadership to junior marines.

 

Key Accomplishments    

 

    -    Recognized with The Navy and Marine Corp Achievement Medal for exceptional management of Government Credit Purchase Card (Fiscal) while establishing the units Multi-Million dollar budget and allocation of funding to respective sections. Developed and implemented Standard Operating Procedures that increased accountability and gained recognition as best practices throughout the 1st Marine Division.

 

    -    Consistently lauded for exemplary and outstanding leadership. Fostered team approach to problem solving and created an environment that facilitated teamwork. Efforts improved productivity and boosted morale.

 

    -    Served as Chief of security in Jordan maintaining safety of compound and managing a group of over 40 Marines.  Established good cultural relations between multiple ethnical backgrounds.

 

    •    Improved maintenance readiness from 67% to 99% through development of procedures and processes to maintain efficient supply warehouse operations.  

 

    •    Solely processed more than 900 requisition for FY09 in the Asset Tracking Logistic and Supply System. Purchased more than $3.3 million in supplies and assets to maintain inventory availability.

 

    •    Collaborated with Comptroller to ensure order placement deadlines were met. Meticulous and eye for detail resulted in timely and accurate delivery of inventory.

 

    -    Certificate of Completion of one of the most rigorous and mentally challenging training schools in the United States Military, S.E.R.E. School (Survival, Evasion, Rescue, Escape).
